Achieve beautiful skin at the speed of light with BroadBand Light (BBL), an non-invasive treatment of skin conditions associated with ageing and sun damage.
What skin conditions can BBL help with?
The BBL can address skin concerns of the face and body. With a range of wavelengths and the use of numerous filters enables the treatment of specific conditions.
The BBL can be used to address:
- Rosacea
- Facial vessels
- Vascular lesions such as angiomas
- Pigmentation such as freckles, sunspots and
- Ageing skin
What type of BBL do you offer?
BBL HERO Forever Young + Corrective (Face & Body)
Attracted to specific chromophores of the skin the BBL directly delivers light energy which is absorbed by melanin for pigmentation and haemoglobin for vascular concerns. This light energy is converted to heat which is then absorbed by these structures causing controlled damage and ultimately elimination. Perfect for sun damaged skin/pigmentation, vessels and Rosacea.
The corrective treatment also includes an anti-ageing pass – Forever Young that transmits light energy deep into the layers of the skin, boosting your body’s natural ability to rejuvenate.
Here at Skinologie your treatment will include a combination of Corrective and Forever Young as we believe the best results are achieved with these two modalities. By combining the two we are able to provide a perfect treatment every time.

How many treatments will I need?
A difference may be noticed in a single session however, depending on your concerns 3-5 sessions may be required. Maintenance treatments are then recommended to up keep results for healthy, youthful looking skin.
How long does the treatment take?
The timing of your treatment will be dependent on the area being treated and the type of BBL treatment being performed.
What can I expect before, during and after my treatment?
Before beginning any treatment one of our clinicians will perform a thorough consultation and assessment to ensure this is the right treatment for you. We ask that you avoid all active skincare (Vitamin A and AHA’s) at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, make sure you have no fake tan on the area being treated and have not had recent significant sun exposure in the 3-4 weeks leading up to the treatment.
During treatment you may experience a warm or “rubber band snap” sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. However, most clients do have a comfortable treatment experience.
Following the BBL you may experience some warmth and redness to the skin which should resolve within a few hours. For pigmentation, you will notice a darkening of the treated areas, followed by flaking within the coming days. Swelling is also very common and for some may last a few days. Specific post care instructions will be given post treatment.
